Double page spread for the Japan issue of TFT. The illustration was to accompany an article on Captain Tsubasa and its influence on culture and football in Japan and some international stars. The idea was to create an old school comic utilising the spread.

The idea was to turn the article into a manga-style comic to serve as an accompaniment, to guide the viewer / reader through the story with the visuals and illustrations that depict the key moments and narratives in the story. There are numerous easter eggs throughout like the Japan silhouette on the red ball to the left that look like markers on the ball as one example.
